7/13/2010: Last Day in Hyderabad, India

Last Day. Went to school @ 1130am. Goodbye Ceremony @ Noon. All the kids were there on the rooftop and we each received a Huge necklace of flowers, think Hawaii style. The kids gave us letters and each one got to say goodbye. Joined the boys for one last lunch. First floor. Hallway. Had a nice conversation with "Danny Boy" and "Air Jordan".

Left the house @ 415pm. Airport by 520. Said goodbye to Angie and Emily and we are now headed home.

Monday: After school...Hold up- For the last period, we went into 10th Class and brought some Play-Doh and rocked out to some music. They NEVER get to do anything fun since they are constantly and strictly studying. SO! since it was our last day and it was only going to be ONE time, we got to break the rules and let them have some fun.

Afterwards, we all traveled to the General Bazar in Secunderabad, which is their Market area. Hit up the Silver Shop and Pearl Place. Home @ 900pm. Ran over to 6th with Brandon and Mike Z. to pick up dinner and surprise the girls. Ate. Then hurried up and ran to 1st @ 935pm to surprise the boys with ONE last game of Kabaddi in the moonlight. AWESOME. Love those boys.

Back home for a chat till 3am with Bree With An "E" and Angie.

After lunch, went to 3rd Hostel & played Frisbee with the girls. A dog in the bushes had puppies. Then went to 1st afterwards for Kabaddi. Wasn't really feeling it but once Rugby time came, it was on. Mike #1 went back to the house before we started since he cut his knee, so the Agape Accountant played on my team. It was a vicious last game. First, my hand got clawed up so I threw some tape on it. My shirt (grey GAP v.neck) got ripped. Then it got ripped again. It's basically a rag. Had some good runs and touchdowns. At the end, Brandon threw me into the rock slabs they have as a fence and my arm hit it pretty hard, butttt we scored off the run. Almost took out Redhead Emily #2 as she came into the Hostel as she didn't realize we had a game going. Anyways, my team lost 9-10. And after that my arm was bleeding pretty well and there was a HUGE welt on my left forearm. The kids came to my aid and drenched it in peroxide, something else, and then maybe iodine powder? before wrapping it up. "Indian Surgery" as they called it. Bri looked like she was in more pain than me at the sight of it.

Chicken Curry for dinner, Water Buffalo milk with Oreos, and another escort walk for Emily #2 and Taylor. PUNO to close out the night and tomorrow is already our last day @ school. My arms and chest are COVERED in bruises and scrapes by the way. Gotta love it!

Kabaddi, Rugby, & Kabaddi @ First.

My black shirt (v.neck) was ripped during our game of "Rugby". The kids said it was a "new fashion". One on one Kabaddi, Battle Royales @ the very end. Came back home but the gate was locked since the girls were cleaning Hostel 2- roach, rat, and dust infested. (Hostel 2 and 4 moved into the new building they just bought during the week, across from the school.) Hit up the corner store. Walked Emily and Taylor back to their place since our house was still locked. Ran into the girls along the way. Had dinner from the cooks at 6th hostel back @ the house. Finished off "Cake Batter" ice cream with Cara and Mike Z. Anddd it took me 2 hours to fall asleep on this hot hot night.

Rained in the middle of the night though.

Evening Round Up: Drove around with Lynn V to her house and to see the actual city part of Hyderabad, then shopping @ this one store with golden hands on it (like that one Riddler Episode of Batman:TAS). Then dinner @ a restaurant to try the best Chicken Bouillon in Hyderbad. Kinda underwhelming. Had a THUMBS UP though, their cheap version of COKE, which was...underwhelming :)
